Amid chaotic border environment and stand-off with China and yesterday’s commander level talk on border disputes, Army Chief Mukund Naravane is visiting Leh to review the ongoing security situation as per army sources.

He will be completely briefed about the ongoing incidents by the senior field commanders on the ground situations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane’s visit is important at a times of transgressions and especially when Indian forces and troops have thwarted the Chinese Army’s attempt to transgress into the restricted areas of ladakh.
According to the sources, during Army Chief’s two day visit, the Army Chief will visit and will review the Operational preparations of the troops as well as their strategies who are constantly facing Chinese stand-off for over three months.
On the intervening night of August 29-30, Indian Army turned down the attempts of Chinese troops to transgress the restricted areas of Ladakh near Pangong Tso in Chushul.
Since April-May, India and China are engaged in a standoff over the transgressions by the Chinese Army in multiple areas including Finger area, Galwan valley, Hot springs and Kongrung Nala.
The situation worsened when 20 army personnel martyred in the clashes between Indian Army and Chinese Troops in Galwan valley in June.
