At the age of 84, famous Santoro mistro  “Shiv Kumar Sharma” pass away in Mumbai   

Mumbai: On Tuesday morning, Legend Santoor player and music composer ShivKumar Sharma pass away at the age of 84 due to a heart attack

Classical musician Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will always be remembered for his timeless music in films such as Chandni, Silsila, Darr and Lamhe.

Shiv Kumar Sharma was born in Jammu in 1938 and became the first musician to have played Indian classical music on the santoor. He was also honoured with the Padma Vibhushan.

According to ShivKumar’s family, he was suffering from severe health issues for a very long time. Around 9 pm the legend had a heart attack. Earlier he was scheduled to perform in Bhopal in the coming weeks. He was on regular dialysis but was still active,”
