He gave a simple logic that if there’s no one to teach, what’s the salary for?

He lost heart over students never showing up for classes. Simultaneously, he gave a cheque of 23 lakh to the registrar of BR Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) on Tuesday

While speaking to the media, lalan said, “my conscience does not allow me to take a salary without teaching,”.

He further added, “Even during online classes (during the pandemic), there were only a handful of students present for Hindi classes. If I take a salary without teaching for five years, it would be academic death for me.”
