In a bold move, residents of Tuksan village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district turned up two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists to the police on Sunday after apprehending the men overnight after they entered the hamlet as imposters looking for refuge.
A letter from the J&K BJP Minority Morcha, dated May 9, began making the rounds on social media shortly after the names of the terrorists were revealed.
One of the terrorists who was caught, Talib Hussain, was alleged as the former in charge of the BJP IT cell. NDTV posted a tweet stating, “Lashkar terrorist caught in Jammu was BJP’s IT cell chief.” But soon after this news went rounds and BJP J&K stated that this news is fake and they haven’t even changed their IT chief for the past three years, NDTV deleted their tweet.
“This news is Fake. He was not the BJP’s IT Cell Incharge. Mr @ advishantgupta Ji is BJP IT cell Incharge from last 3 years and before that Mr @ jaidevrajwal was BJP’s IT Cell Incharge J&K,” BJP J&K tweeted.
“LeT commander Talib Hussain, a resident of Rajouri district and the mastermind behind the recent IED blasts in the district, and Faizal Ahmad Dar, a categorised terrorist of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, were captured,” said the Jammu Police.
According to the police, Hussain was engaged in at least three IED attacks in the Rajouri district, in addition to civilian deaths and grenade explosions, and was in frequent communication with LeT terrorist Qasim who was located in Pakistan.
It was discovered after initial interrogation that both terrorists had contact with a Pakistani LeT handler.
