Coronavirus Updates: India’s Covid19 tally crosses to 26 lakh

India’s Covid-19 tally crosses the 26-lakh barrier on Monday, as per the latest health ministry numbers Deaths due to the coronavirus are now 50,921. Globally, the virus has taken over 7 lakh lives.

Union health and family Welfare Minister on Saturday declared that India had surpassed three crore Covid19 testings keeping the aim of positivity and fatality rate low.


Telangana reported 894 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the state’s total to 92,255. 24 people died within 24 hours in the state till Monday.
The total death toll due to coronavirus resulted complications to 703. The bulletin reported that 2,006 people had recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 70,132.


Bihar on Saturday became the eighth state in the country to have more than one lakh COVID-19 cases as per reports. The state’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 515 after 15 people lost their lives to the disease.

According to the health bulletin by the department. 3,536 fresh infections, the total caseload of Bihar rose to 1,01,906. The state also conducted record 1.61 lakh sample tests in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal are the other seven states that had reported more than one lakh coronavirus cases.


Even though the number of COVID-19 patients dropped below 1000 in Mumbai, State still continues to report more number of cases. Contributions in the overall country’s total by alone Maharashtra is showing no sign of slowing down as it is  below 50,000. On Tuesday, recorded 11,088 new COVID-19 cases and 256 deaths in the state. The total count of cases in the state now is 5.3 lakh with 1.48 active cases.

The death toll is 18,306. Whereas in Mumbai, 917 new cases, the total number rose up to 1.25 lakh including 99,147 recovered/discharged patients, 18,905 active cases and 6,890 deaths.


Delhi registered 1,113 new COVID-19 cases,1,021recovered/discharged/migrated cases and 14 deaths today. The total positive cases now stands at 1,48,504 including 1,33,405 recovered/discharged/migrated cases and 4153 deaths.
