COVID 19 latest updates : India

Updates: As per now, the country tally has reached to 33,04,475 COVID 19 cases. India recorded 60.975 new cases and 848 deaths in the last few hours. 2,47,000 people have recovered until now.

The phase II trial of vaccine i.e human trial has started. The vaccine was developed by Oxford University’s vaccine in collaboration with AstraZeneca began Pune, India. Six volunteers will be given doses at Pune’s Bharati Vidyapeeth medical college and hospital.It was not mandatory to go for phase I trial, where vaccine safety is checked.

About other vaccine, “As far as Sputnik-V vaccine is concerned, India and Russia are in communication. Some initial information has been shared,” Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said at a press conference.

While new guidelines for ‘unlock 4.0’ to be announced soon. Since, past 5 months metro services are at hold and are likely to open in the ‘unlock 4.0’, says official of Ministry of Home Affairs.

Former Assam chief minister, Tarun Gogoi was tested positive on Wednesday. He urged all those came in contact with him.

Gogoi tweets “I have been tested Covid 19 positive yesterday. People who came in contact with me during Last few days they should go for Covid test immediately.”

Over 23 million people are affected by novel coronavirus across the globe. Recently, World Health Organisation (WHO) reported about “How Hongkong man was infected twice by the virus”.
