Covid19 Updates: India surpasses Brazil to become second worst-hit Nation

New Delhi : After crossing four million mark on Covid19 cases, India became the second worst-hit country after Brazil also setting new global record for a daily upsurge infections.

Brazil’s total as the second highest in the world. Total of 82,432 added in the past 24 hours which pushed the tally to 4,023,179. There are total 8,46,395 active cases out of 40,23,179.

With  31,07,223 recovery cases there is a sign of relief but total of 1,089 deaths yesterday took the toll to 69,561 making it worst.

According to a recent study, total of 40 districts comprised of 90% infections out of 700 districts,  ”A total of 4,88,31,145 samples tested up to 5th September 2020. Of these, 10,92,654 samples were tested yesterday,” Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) exclaimed.

Brazil with 4,091,801 cases becomes the third highest number of Coronavirus cases while US with 6,200,186 people infected as per the study of Johns Hopkins University.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit with a total of 8,63,069 cases and 25,969 deaths; followed by Andhra Pradesh with 4,76,506 cases and 4,276 deaths. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, and Bihar come next.
