Covid19 Vaccination Drive: 1st shot to Sanitation worker Manish Kumar at AIIMS Delhi

World’s largest vaccination drive kicked off this morning in India, unveiled by PM Narendra Modi against Covid19. The indigenious vaccination programme aims to battle against the virus which claimed more than 1.3 million lives, devastated business, shattered people’s lives.

Now, India will be vaccinated with its indigeniously manufactured covid vaccines namely Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Serum Institute of India’s Covishield which received approval from DCGI recently. In the first of the vaccination drive, 3 crore people will be vaccinated categorically frontline health workers on priority.

Adding to that, sanitation worker Manish Kumar becomes the first person in India to get coronavirus vaccine shot. Dr Harsh Vardhan exclaimed that India’s exercise to vaccinate its population against COVID-19 shall be the largest immunisation drive of the world.
