An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale hit Odisha’s Berhampur area on Saturday morning. The National Centre for Seismology said that the earthquake struck 73km West South-West (WSW) of Berhampur on 7:30 am.

India has been encountering low to direct power earthquake tremors since the previous not many months.
The most recent jolts in the country took place in Mizoram, Gujarat and Delhi.
The tremors happened in Kasipur region of Rayagada region in Odisha at 16:40 hours today, said NCS.
The focal point of the tremor was situated around 42-km south-southeast of Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh, Director of the meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar, HR Biswas said.
