“Empowerment all the way with Railways”: First Woman Driver drove all-woman-staffed Mumbai-Lucknow Special Train

Empowerment in the Indian Railways was seen this year on the occasion of International Woman’s Days. First woman driver drove all woman staffed Mumbai-Lucknow Special train, informed by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

The day that celebrates social, economic, cultural and political achievement of woman, have another accomplishment of Woman to celebrate. As, Surekha Yadav drove the all woman staffed Mumbai-Lucknow special.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, tweeted informing all regarding the same. In another tweet he informed regarding the operation and management of Bundelkhand Special Train between Jhansi and Gwalior, held by a team of women.

On the International Woman’s Day, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman remarked on the gender-sensitive language while addressing to the gathering of women MPs and journalists. She said, “We stand up each time for the use of the right language and come across language both formal and informal that doesn’t recognise an implicit gender bias. We need to say that language needs to gender-sensitive. We shouldn’t encourage such language.”

She further added the issue of differential treatment at work and stated,We are MPs, but we are often treated as women first and MPs later. We should make a conscious effort to change this.
