Guinness Book Of World Records Name MS Dhoni’s 2011 World Cup Bat as the Most Expensive Bat Ever

There is no Indian in this World who doesn’t know about Mahendra Singh Dhoni. And if there is, then he has a lo to learn about his/her nation’s pride!

Mahendra Singh Dhoni as we all know is one of the cricketing legends of India who has attained heights no ordinary Cricketer could. He was the man who made India’s dream of winning the World Cup become a reality.

Likewise, the bat MS Dhoni used to hit the final winning sixes in the 2011 WC is now the most expensive bat ever. It holds the record for being the most expensive cricket bat in history!

According to reports from the Guinness Book Of World records, MS Dhoni’s bat was bought by an Indian Brokerage Firm.

MS Dhoni used this bat at the Wankhede Stadium on April 2, 2011, to hit the winning shots.

Mumbai-based RK Global Shares and Securities Ltd. bought the bat for £100,000 ($161, 295), i.e., 72,00,000 INR. It was in the ‘East Meets West’ Charity Dinner in London, UK just after three months of the World Cup.

The proceedings went to Sakshi Singh Dhoni’s (MS Dhoni’s wife) charitable organization.
