Rohit Sharma led the Indian T20 World Cup team leaves for Australia.
The Indian cricket team left India early Thursday morning for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia. It is noteworthy that the Indian side won the 2007 World Cup while it finished as runners-up during the last edition of the twenty-over cricket championship.
It is noteworthy that the Indian team won against Australia and South Africa in two different bilateral series just before the T20 World Cup, thereby strengthening its morale. However, both of these wins were on Indian soil, and things are expected to get tricky as the team plays on Australian pitches.
Also, many fans are worried due to the fact that the Rohit Sharma-led team is struggling to fully focus on its bowling, batting, and fielding prowess.
The below image was posted by the official BCCI social media account as the men in blue depart:
“Let’s get it done, #TeamIndia. Here we come, @cricketworldcup.”
Stars, including Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Surya Kumar Yadav, also posted photographs of the team’s departure for Australia.
Death bowling has been one of the team’s main issues, and
With Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of the event, Team India’s struggle with the Death Over is only going to increase. So much so, death overs are already speculated to be the Indian team’s Achilles’ heel.
On top of that, there is no comparable alternative for Hardik Pandya in the team, so if the elite all-rounder gets injured in the middle of the tournament, the team’s balance will be severely compromised, leaving the management with a significant dilemma.
