Individuals can trade shares now through WhatsApp Chat: Report

Geojit Financial Services has introduced a WhatsApp Portal for its customers that will provide stock trading functionality by chatting with the dealers. The app services often encourage, at their convenience, investment in mutual funds, monitoring information on the movement of funds, and other important data.

Kotak Securities, Axis Direct, and HDFC bonds also offer stock products through the major source of messenger services. To start the conversation you simply need to send a ‘hello’ to the brokerage house registered phone.

Though making trading as easy as talking with WhatsApp, Geojit also assured that all communications on its WhatsApp Server are logged in to provide legal approval to trade confirmations via this platform. Trading through the app Channel ensures safety features such as customer authenticity, traceability, and self-service.

“Especially during the time of COVID, as everybody continues to work from home, our aim is to provide the most seamless yet compliant customer-dealer interaction without requiring any additional effort from the customer. Our simplified trading mechanism has not only made trading effortless, but it has also emerged one of the safest, banking on a secure authentication process,” says Jones George, Chief Digital Officer of Geojit.

“With our new innovative app Channel, no additional application download is needed in order to trade and keep track of financial transactions. As the segment is dynamic and rapidly evolving, we’ll continue to add more features to our app Channel, as we go forward.” He added.

The customers can reach the Geojit WhatsApp Platform from their registered mobile numbers by sending an app message to +91 99955 00044. They can access three personalized resources on the app after successful authentication-talk with Dealer, Self-Service, and Declaration and Data.

Following the verification process, a client will chat with a dealer affiliated with his / her division to trade in stock and derivatives via Chat with Dealer. All messages between the customer and the dealer are kept in the database, allowing Geojit to collect trading approvals through WhatsApp.

You may send an SMS as ‘WHATSAPP’ to 575758 to use Axis Direct WhatsApp services. Once you have signed up you will send a ‘Hi’ to start the conversation.

Customers of Kotak Securities may initiate trading through WhatsApp by sending a ‘Hi’ to number ‘+91 7400102102. Users will start enjoying the trade services after clint verification and one-time authentication.
