iPhone 12 to be launched soon: Apple

After the hit success of the iPhone 11 and its series. Apple is now likely to launch iPhone 12 in September or October. If Apple launches its new iPhone, it will discontinue iPhone 11Pro and iPhone XR, as per the sources. 

iAppleTimes reports “They cite the availability of the more powerful iPhone SE 2020 as a better alternative rather than reducing the price of the XR again.”

According to sources, The new iPhone 12 will have major updates since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017. iPhone might come in two display sizes 6.1 or 6.7 inches for higher-end devices while 5.4 or 6.1 inches for lower-end devices. All iPhones are expected to feature OLED display and 5G support. 120Hz “ProMotion” refresh rate could be included in some of the higher-end models.

According to India Today, Under the ‘Made in India’ programme the components of the iPhone 12 will be produced in India. Wistron, Apple’s Taiwanese manufacturer has already hired 2000 local people and will be hiring more after walk-in-interview.

The setup for iPhone production is located in Kolar district, about 70 km from Bengaluru. Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) has allotted 43 acres of land for production.
