Kangana Ranaut to get Y-plus category security: Centre

Kangana Ranaut on Monday thanked Home Minister Amit Shah for showing his “respect for India’s daughter” by giving her Y-plus security after she spoke about drug use in the film industry.

Taking to Twitter, the actor referred to the report on the Centre’s decision and wrote-

On Sunday, the Himachal Pradesh government had decided to give security to the actor in the state. It also considered extending it in her upcoming visit to Mumbai.

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur stated that it is “our duty to provide her security as she is a daughter of Himachal Pradesh and a celebrity.”

Responding to reporters’ queries, Thakur said that both Ranaut’s sister and her father have approached the government seeking security for the actor.
