Moving ahead with the constant success, Kavya Chopra from Delhi becomes the first female to top the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and with 100%. The National Testing Agency announced JEE Mains results on Wednesday night, told she scored a complete 300 in the examination.
She scored 99.978 in the February session but decided to reappear as she set a benchmark for herself of scoring not less than 99.98 percentile. “I scored 99.97 percentile in the February attempt but my target was to score more than 99.98 percentile, so I appeared for the JEE Main March. In my first attempt, the focus was more on Physics and Chemistry, however, I had scored low in the Chemistry paper. During the last 15 days between February and March examinations, I had focused on the Chemistry section,” Ms. Kavya said.
She was confident to use the NCERT books that later helped her in the march attempt. “In the gap of 15 days, I studied the NCERT book for Chemistry thoroughly. It helped in improving my score in the March attempt”. She believes that practicing is the only option to avoid silly mistakes and blunders.
Kavya has been an achiever all her life as she scored 97.6 percent in class 10th. Her mother even told that she is keen in maths and computers. “If she clears JEE Advanced, she might opt for computer science engineering from IIT-Bombay,” her mother said.
Kavya’s father is a computer science engineer and her mother is a maths teacher. She has a younger brother who is promoted to class 9th.
Kavya was determined about forbidding herself from social media, “As long as it’s not academic, I’d suggest not to get involved in social media. I am not on Facebook and Instagram, I have just used WhatsApp for academic purposes. Social media avoidance is the only strategy that works with your preparation”.
This time there are two girls who have scored a complete 100% in the NTA Exam, one the above mentioned and the other is Bakshi Gargi Makarand from Maharashtra.
