On 30 August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly speech to the country, ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ turned one of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s most criticized videos on YouTube.
Almost all the comments on that video are regarding the recent verdict of the Center to carry out the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). Users of social media, mainly students, shared their dissatisfaction with the announcement of the government and called for playing with the students’ future.

As the uproar about postponing exams grows louder, PM Modi has chosen to speak on topics such as Indian dog breed and India’s potential to become the next hub for the manufacture of toys. PM’s address to the nation didn’t bring up students’ demands and constant requests to the government to postpone the examinations in the midst of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Leader of Congress Rahul Gandhi also attacked Prime Minister Modi saying the country’s students wished him to do “Pariksha Pe Charcha” but he chose to do “Khilone Pe Charcha”
Several people on social media including politicians have tweeted about the students’ anger at the NEET, JEE tests.
Several students have taken to various social media sites over the last few days asking the government to delay the tests. Many mentioned the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, while others reported the floods and incessant rains that devastated many parts of the world to government.

A NEET aspirant recently shared a video in which she criticized the guidelines stated on the admit card which makes it compulsory for candidates to wear gloves during examinations. The candidate challenges the Ministry of Education to wear gloves for examinations for more than 20 minutes in the video that has gone viral on the internet, as it starts sweating and causes discomfort.
