Finance Ministry on Saturday released a statement according to which, “The job recruitments through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and other competitive examinations would “continue as usual.”
The Statement released after Rahul Gandhi’s “minimum government, maximum privatisation” on the BJP government.
Rahul Gandhi targeted PM Modi on Saturday stating that Covid19 is an excuse to clear permanent members of government offices. He targeted recruitment process of the SSC and UPSC.
A Statement has been issued by Finance Ministry, “There is no restriction or ban on filling up of posts in Govt of India. Normal recruitments through govt agencies like Staff Selection Commission, UPSC, Railway Recruitment Board, etc will continue as usual without any curbs.”
The Statement added “Department of Expenditure circular dated 04 September 2020 deals with internal procedure for creation of posts and doesn’t in any way affect or curtail recruitment.”

Earlier today Rahul Gandhi attacked on the BJP government alleging that government could freeze fresh recruitments and create new posts for benefitting others after taking approval from department of expenditure comes under finance Ministry.
