Virat Kohli is the ‘ICC Male Cricketer Of The Year’, MS Dhoni Won ‘ICC Spirit of Cricket’ Honour

International Cricket Council (ICC) has named Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli as the winner of Sir Garfield Sobers Award for the best male cricketer of the decade. He was also picked for the ODI Cricketer of the Decade Award.

Former Skipper of India MS Dhoni won the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade. This honour was chosen by the fans for the incident that happened where he called England batsman Ian Bell after a bizzare run-out in 2011 in Nottingham test.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) made announcement via Twitter bestowed the honours on Virat Kohli for scoring 66 out of 70 times international hundreds in the ICC Awards period.

Virat Kohli Message: 

He is the batsman with most runs (20396) and fifties (94), besides having the maximum average (56.97) among players with 70 plus innings. Kohli said in a statement, Firstly, it’s a great honour for me to receive this award. The moments I hold closest to my heart in the last decade definitely has to be the World Cup win in 2011, the Champions Trophy win in 2013 and winning the series in Australia in 2018.
